1. Eligibility. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN; PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE ODDS OF WINNING. SWEEPSTAKES OPEN ONLY TO RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (COLLECTIVELY, THE “U.S.”) EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. IF YOU ARE NOT A RESIDENT OF THE U.S. OR DO NOT MEET THE AGE REQUIREMENT, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN A PRIZE, AND COINSTAR, INC. RESERVES THE RIGHT NOT TO AWARD A PRIZE TO YOU. To be eligible to win a prize pursuant to the sweepstakes, entries must be completed and received by Sponsor in the format designated below. Sponsor and any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, advertising and promotional agencies, employees and agencies (collectively, the “Participating Entities”), and immediate families of each are not eligible to win any prizes. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Offer void where prohibited.
2. Disclaimer. The Participating Entities will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; © any sweepstakes disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Sponsor; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the sweepstakes.
3. Entry Period. The entry period (“Entry Period”) for the sweepstakes is from 08:01 a.m. Pacific Time on June 23, 2009 to 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on July 13, 2009.
4. Prizes.
- One (1) Grand Prize:* One (1) year’s worth of Redbox rental codes (365 unique codes, value $365) and $90 in the form of gift cards from Amazon.com. Terms and conditions of gift cards and Redbox codes apply. Redbox rental code valid only for first day of rental period. Should the rental period exceed 24 hours, the user account will be charged accordingly.
- Three (3) Runner Up Prizes:* $90 in the form of gift cards from Amazon.com, iTunes and Starbucks ($30 from each).
- Odds of Winning.* Odds of winning the Grand Prize will depend on the number of valid entries. Total retail value of all prizes: $725.
ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS.
Sponsor will randomly select the Grand Prize winner from all valid entries on July 15, 2009. If a prize is returned as undeliverable or otherwise not claimed within ten (10) days after delivery of notification, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. All prizes will be awarded. Prizes are not transferable. No substitutions or exchanges of any prizes will be permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize. Limit one prize. All prizes are awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied, (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
5. How to Enter. To enter, become a fan of Coinstar on Facebook, and complete all required blank fields in the sweepstakes entry form at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Official-Coinstar-Page during the Entry Period by submitting your first and last name, street address, email address or mail a 3” x 5” card with the such information to Coinstar, Inc., Attn: Public Relations Department – Gift Card Holiday Sweepstakes; P.O. Box 91258, Bellevue, WA 98009. Mailed entries must be received by July 13, 2009. Only valid entries will be accepted and eligible to win prizes. Entrants may not submit more than one entry.
By entering the sweepstakes, you consent to being placed on a mailing list for promotional and other purposes.
6. General Release. By entering the sweepstakes, you release the Participating Entities from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the sweepstakes or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory.
7. Use of Winner’s Name, Likeness, etc. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the sweepstakes constitutes permission to use each and every winner’s name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation, including, without limitation, use on or in connection with any Coinstar Center machine or Sponsor website. As a condition of being awarded any prize, except where prohibited by law, winners may be required to execute a consent to the use of their name, address, likeness and/or prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.
8. Affidavit & Release. As a condition of being awarded any prize, winners may be required to execute and deliver to Sponsor a signed affidavit of eligibility and acceptance of these Official Rules and release of liability.
9. Winners List; Rules Request. For a copy of the winners list, send a stamped, self-addressed, business-size envelope after August 1, 2009 and no later than August 1, 2010 to Sponsor at the address listed below, Attn: Public Relations Dept. – “Vacation on a Dime Sweepstakes” Winners List. 11. Miscellaneous. The sweepstakes and these Official Rules will be governed, construed and interpreted under the laws of the state of Washington. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right to change these Official Rules at any time, in its sole discretion, and to suspend or cancel the sweepstakes or any entrant’s participation in the sweepstakes should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control affect the administration, security or proper play of the sweepstakes or Sponsor otherwise becomes (as determined in its sole discretion) incapable of running the sweepstakes as planned. Entrants who violate these Official Rules, tamper with the operation of the sweepstakes or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the sweepstakes or any other entrant (in each case as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion) are subject to disqualification from entry into the sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to lock out persons whose eligibility is in question or who have been disqualified or are otherwise ineligible to enter the sweepstakes.
